RaizerFund application will ask for the information listed below

ORGANIZATION REGISTERED IN THE UNITED STATES

IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN)
If your organization has a GuideStar profile associated with its EIN, the application will automatically populate with documents that your organization provided to GuideStar. If you do not have a GuideStar profile or the profile does not contain the required documents, the application will prompt you to upload any of the following documents: an IRS Letter of Determination, a recent IRS 990, and/or 2 years of financial statements.

Program materials
Please upload materials that show your organization’s activities and achievements. We would like to see what you’re doing, how you’re doing it, who you’re helping, and how long you’ve been running these programs. Examples of good program materials include: annual reports, brochures, newsletters, or news reports about your organization.

Disbursement information
Please provide information for a bank account or cryptocurreny wallet or other payment forms that can receive funds for your organization.

Names of senior staff and board members
Please provide the names of your organization’s senior staff and board members.

If your documents are not in English, you will also be asked to provide English translations; we accept unofficial translations, including those made with Google Translate:

Program materials
Please upload materials that show your organization’s activities and achievements. We would like to see what you’re doing, how you’re doing it, and who you’re helping. Examples of good program materials include: annual reports, brochures, newsletters, or news reports about your organization. Photos without descriptions will not be accepted.

Letter of reference
We’d like to hear from one of your organization’s supporters! The letter of reference should come from someone who has seen or experienced your work and impact, such as funders, partner organizations, prominent community members, or program beneficiaries. We cannot accept letters from family members or anyone directly involved in your organization such as staff, volunteers, or board members. The letter should be written within the past 3 months and addressed to RaizerFund, and should include an email address and a phone number so we can contact the referrer if necessary.

Certificate of government registration
This document should be issued by a government office. It’s the document that shows that your organization is registered as a charitable organization in your country.

Founding document (with dissolution clause)
Please upload a complete version of your founding document, such as a Constitution, Articles of Association, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Charter, By-Laws, Trust Deed etc. This document should be stamped by a government agency or signed by your board members so we can confirm that it has been adopted by your organization. The founding document should also contain a dissolution clause that explains the disposal of your organization’s assets in the event of dissolution. Alternatively, your organization’s dissolution may be described by country law; if this is the case, you will be asked to state the law that provides for the disposal of assets in the event of dissolution.

Financial documents (2 years of financial statements and a current year budget)
Please upload financial statements for the last two fiscal years. The statements can be audited or unaudited and must show where your organization’s money comes from (the sources of income) and how money is spent (expenses). You will also be asked to upload a budget for the current year which also shows your planned sources of income and expenses.
